  • Then, finally, the fun stuff. We’ll show you how to process the payrun in elementTIME ready to push the timesheets to your payroll/ERP software.

Assistance with Authority

If you use Authority we can provide hands-on assistance and guidance, from setting up new employees to guiding your payroll officer through their first payrun.

What you can expect:

  • We’ll show you where to find the batch data.
  • Guidance when you need it through the payroll process.
  • Help with minor errors within Authority.

Full disclaimer: While we’re pretty amazing, we do have limitations. We can’t fix bugs or system errors in Authority – you’ll have to go to Civica for that.

Payroll project support is a special service designed to surge your payroll team’s capacity to drive project change and enhancements without adding pressure and stress to your existing payroll team.

We provide experienced local government payroll resources to fit in with your existing payroll team. They provide the payroll resource needed to allow your projects to progress with minimal impact on your payroll team.

They run point for your team on the project and coordinate input requirements between the project and your payroll team.

  • Councils needing to implement payroll business change projects including IT systems and organisational change.
  • Councils already in the middle of payroll business change projects that are struggling to keep projects on track or are not meeting desired outcomes due to a lack of payroll capacity.

What it looks like

Typically our resource will work directly with the project team and alongside payroll and HR staff, managing all aspects of the payroll team’s involvement.

They may also take the role of project manager if a project team does not exist. They will be responsible for ensuring the organisation’s payroll requirements are included in the project, opportunities for value are documented and considered, and gaps and issues are resolved.

Payroll processing support is designed to help councils cover resource gaps in their payroll team through temporary absences, staff turnover or organisational change, either on-demand or focused for fixed periods.

Payroll processing support ensures your payroll doesn’t miss a beat and you continue to meet your payroll obligations and requirements during planned and unplanned changes to your payroll resources.

Option 1: On-demand payroll support

Providing council with cover when ordinary payroll staff are unavailable for temporary planned or unplanned absences and council does not have enough resources to provide full role coverage.

Ideal for

Councils needing temporary payroll cover to ensure payroll is completed and staff are paid correct entitlements due to planned or unplanned short term staff absences.

  • Transferring the payroll data into payroll/ERP systems.
  • Running leave integrations to update balances.
  • Processing plant integration.
  • Processing payroll.
  • STP submission.
  • Preparation of the bank payment file to be sent to finance for payment.
