Overview
This release has some cool new enhancements that have been queued up for a while to release. We thought we would get them through like an early Christmas present.
This functionality only applies to sites on the Silicon base version of elementTIME unless otherwise stated.
[CHORE] Add option to allow viewing daily start and end times to timesheets on listing and project view.

You can now view start and end times within the timesheet and within the My Teams timesheet listing page. Just select the filter, and away you go.

[FEAT] Create settings to allow applying for a full day leave on duration-only schedules and [CHORE] Make option “Custom” as default for duration-only schedule calculation fields (leave and holidays)
Where users are on duration-only schedules, they can now apply for full-day leave based on the settings for that user. Users just need to put in the start date and the end date, and it will figure out the rest.
[CHORE] Add new condition options on leave action groups
Leave action conditions can now also be built with:
- Start date with organisation:
- Staff has started at organisation less than
- Staff has started at organisation not less than
- Start date of permanent employment
- Staff permanent employment has started less than
- Staff permanent employment has started not less than
- Start date of government employment
- Staff government employment has started less than
- Staff government employment has started not less than
Input with label: Number of days
[FEAT] Create kiosk device management functionality in web application. The page allows the linking between elementCORE and individual kiosks, including blocking of kiosks.
[CHORE] Replace tithe symbol with Asterisk when number of hours is rounded

The tilde symbol used by elementTIME to indicate an estimate or rounded value (because, as we all know, 60 minutes does not always divide equally into 100) caused many users to mistakenly think they were looking at a negative symbol. In retrospect, that was a silly thing for us to have done. So now we have replaced it with an asterisk and some supporting information via hover text.
[CHORE] Add daily expected hours into My Teams Timesheets listing page. Daily expected hours are now shown in the My Teams Timesheets listing page, because that is actually handy.
[CHORE] Implement new layout for login screens on Silicon.

We have made some changes to the login screens that also allow all native user name and password fields to be removed. This means users can only log in via SSO if enabled. Oh, and the screen changes depending on the time of day, because kiosk users like that.
[CHORE] Add scheduled holidays syncing action to command that creates future payruns. Sometimes you need a future payrun so you can close it early and take some time off like all the other staff. When you do this you want to ensure the holidays are running correct – so now they do.
[CHORE] Update command that calculates timesheets to include timesheets on open future payruns. No point opening a future pay and then not having any timesheets in it. The command now also generates those timesheets at the same time.
[FEAT] Created a new report called “Authority batch upload file (adj accrued) with plant. As a backup for councils who run into issues with their ERP API services for timesheets, this report allows for additional controls, including running filters – so timesheets won’t show twice.
Fixes and little things (that can also be big)
[FIX] Fix issue where some actual schedules and timesheets are not creating properly when schedule is assigned to user when starting in the middle of a payrun period. As much as it would be awesome if changes were only ever made to coincide with a pay period, we know this is not the case. So we fixed this glitch mucking things up if users swapped to different shift types within a pay period.
[FIX] Fix issue where when leave is waiting for approval, it calculates issues incorrectly in the timesheet and prevents it from being submitted. Unapproved leave wasn’t added to hours needed in a timesheet, which was pesky, so we fixed that.
[FIX] Fix miscalculation issue when applying for multiple full-day leave calculated on expected hours if the user didn’t have any expected hours. Yes, this one sounds weird, but it happened, so we resolved this as well (because turns out when people want to apply for leave, they don’t really care if their setup doesn’t match correctly; they just want that day off).
[FIX] Fix permission error when user tries to shift their own RDO for any existing open period. Users can, if permitted, shift their RDO. Well, unless this bug existed, which meant even if they should be able to move their RDO, they couldn’t. So now they can again if they are allowed.
[CHORE] Remove historical flags to allow aligning schedule with recorded hours. This isn’t needed in Silicon, so as they say, ‘ta da’ it is gone.
[FIX] Show missing custom content related to time-type on timecard. Custom content is only going to be helpful if it displays, so we fixed the error that was preventing it from being helpful. Now custom content is shown again.
[FIX] Fix issue with rule to split provider numbers where when split is set it was passing blank value. If staff need to be separated into different payruns, we were accidentally creating a blank value if the user also had splits coded into their project costing. Basically, we were not splitting if we had already split. Now we can split a split if we have already split. Pretty cool. I am not sure, I kinda got lost at the first split – but anyway, it works.
[FIX] Fix rule to apply different hour code on leave taken on public holidays that was applying holiday rule to all weekdays. What does this even mean? Basically, some setups have different leave codes for the same leave types that come into play depending on what day the leave is taken. Rather than require the user to apply for different leave requests, we allow them to apply once and then work the magic at our end. Only it isn’t magic, it is code, and it was buggy, so we fixed it. Hogwarts, eat your heart out.
[FIX] Fix issue where search by user filter does not work for leave balances on “My teams leave details” page. If you type in a value, then the search now returns records that match that value just like it should. Sorry about that.
[FIX] Fix error where when replacing the master time-type the new record is not master by default. If a user just has one time type, then that time type is the master – that is just how these things work. Or should work, do work, is working – you know what I mean.
[FIX] Fix issue where leave accrued hours are multiplied by the number of active roles in the period. Yep, can we pretend this one didn’t exist? It turns out we removed a control to prevent this, so we added it back in. Ouch.
[FIX] Fix period excess time calculations when levels are based on extra hours only. Only some of the conditions were applying. Now they all are.
[FIX] Fix error where work-orders with end dates in the past can still be seen and selected causing 999 errors. This is super annoying, right? So we fixed it. If a work-order is closed for posting or the end date has passed, then it is no longer available (as it should be – or shouldn’t be…that is the question).
[FIX] Fix issue with workflow rule for timesheets where there are or are not penalties recorded. The workflow was not getting set if the workflow was dependent on a timesheet having (or not having) penalties. Now it is once again.
[FIX] Fix issues with copying from schedule when user is on multiple roles. This was preventing a user from being able to fill in their timesheet based on scheduled hours at the press of a button. So now they can once more. Not that anyone would, because everyone ensures their timesheet is accurate, right?
[FIX] Fix static call error thrown when trying to SSO login on the mobile app. Some users were getting an error when trying to log in via SSO to the mobile app. That is annoying, so we resolved that one.
[FIX] Fix issue on timesheet listing page where when there is unapproved leave that goes over multiple periods it errors the listing with a 500 error. This one…goodness me, this one was a puzzle. But it got worked out and fixed, so yay us.
[FIX] Fix issue where minimum hours are not applying to adjusted actual when excess-time is manually amended. This one was where, if someone manually adjusted excess-time to a rule that had minimum hours built in, the minimum hours were not applying automatically (due to the manual part of this process), so we resolved that one, and now they do.
